Now It Was Just Make Believe, Video diary for 2 screens, 26 min, colour sound, 2011

Now it was just make believe and: is a film diary that deals with the psychological aspects of moving out of your country, through an approach to filmmaking based on shared filmmaking techniques. This project is made for a video installation of two screens, but it can also be seen as a film. It was drawn from an archive of 4 years of clips of a videodiary.

In it , the various participants, experiencing different life stages (childhood, adulthood) engage in conversations and film each other, while reflecting on the various challenges and psychological aspects of their diasporic experience in Sweden. The question of the utopia as a project versus a constructed reality is also explored.

HDV, colour, sound, 26’ (2011)
